Jón Kaldal is the founder and editor of Iceland Magazine. He has been covering news in Iceland for more than twenty years.
Previously he was the editor of the weekly newspaper, Fréttatíminn, which he founded in 2010 and left in 2012. From 2004 to 2010, he was the editor of Iceland’s most-read daily newspaper, Fréttablaðið, and from 1996 until 2004, he was the editor of Iceland Review, a quarterly magazine in English. Early in his career, he was a reporter at various weekly and monthly magazines, some of which could reasonably be described as having a yellow tint.
He studied literature at the University of Iceland and some French at Sorbonne University in Paris.
