Agnes Valdimarsdóttir is a part-time writer for Iceland Magazine. She is a journalist and a broadcaster, but dabbles in other professions as well.
She graduated with a BA in English Literature from Trent University in Canada and then went to the UK where she graduated with an MA in International Broadcast Journalism from City University in London. She started off her journalistic career as the Iceland correspondent for Agence France-Press in 2010 and has worked for Reuters, the National State Broadcasting Service (RÚV), and Al Jezeera English. In addition, she produced and hosted a youth-webTV show for MonitorTV for nearly a year. She’s now a part-time writer for Iceland Magazine while she teaches high school full-time and greets travellers to Iceland on-board Icelandair flights in the summer.
